If one were to describe the company in one word it has to be 'innovative'. Many inventions, big and small, dot Toshiba's history. The one with the biggest impact on our day-to-day lives probably being the laptop computer in 1985.
TMS UK is part of the TMSE (Toshiba Medical Systems Europe) Group of companies. Being part of a European network of similar companies has great benefits, such as a central support group in the Netherlands (Sales, Marketing, Service) as well as being able to draw from a European resource pool of highly qualified staff, be it Application Specialists or Engineers in times of high demand.
Being part of a true world giant in electronics, does not mean in Toshiba's case a rigid approach to the business. Obviously, as a medical company, TMS UK hold accreditation according to ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System), and ISO 13485:2003 (supplementary requirements for medical companies).
Corporate Social Responsibility is an important aspect within the entire corporation. Toshiba actively support smaller and larger projects all over the world. Specifically in the UK we support or have supported the "Race for Life", and charities such as Teen Cancer Trust, Driving for the Disabled and the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund.
