The Ultrasound Department at Weston General Hospital, Weston-Super-Mare recently purchased a Toshiba Aplio XG system for obstetrics, gynaecological and general ultrasound examinations.
Jane Baker, newly appointed Ultrasound Lead explains, "We are very excited to have this latest model from Toshiba, as with its many technological advantages, we anticipate that it will greatly enhance our diagnostic capability. The Aplio XG will take pride of place in a new scanning room in a brand new build which has recently been completed and which also houses the new MRI and CT suite." Jane continues, "This new machine along with the scanning room will provide our service with greater flexibility and will allow us to keep up with the ever-increasing demand for ultrasound exams. Once again, we look forward to the continued excellent support we receive from the Applications Specialists and Toshiba’s after-sales service team."
In order to optimise the sonographers’ understanding of the Aplio XG’s features and to ensure that they achieve the best performance from the technology, Toshiba provided the team with a training day within the Ultrasound Department. Jane says, "The advances in image processing produce an image which is really quite different from what we are used to and to have been able to spend time with the Applications Specialist has been invaluable in allowing us to appreciate the potential of the new system."
The Aplio XG is Toshiba’s flagship ultrasound system, designed to meet the most challenging demands of diagnostic precision and workflow. With a host of advanced imaging and productivity
features, it offers an intelligent solution to satisfy even the most robust of imaging requirements. Its award-winning component architecture allows faster processing of complex data to produce superb image quality and sensitivity.
